The Metaphysics of the Wheel

I recently learned that Robert Jordan identified as a Libertarian Monarchist; which, you may have noticed, is one degree removed from Anarcho-Monarchism. This honestly made the whole book series make a lot of sense; as a world where the Great Man and the Civilization "theories" of history are just... true. Ta'veren are great men, obviously; Artur Hawkwing is King Arthur's unlicensed baby with Alexander the Great; and the Nation of Manetheren known for its great past and noble spirit is being brought back by the Pattern through Lord Goldeneyes. Yeah, cool right?

This means that Randland does not work according to historical materialism like our world does (NO conflict in history has ever been had over ideas, EVERYONE was motivated by boring stuff like starvation). So, this made me think, what if the Wheel itself got invented somehow at the start of the Age of Legends? Like, an ancient relic is discovered in our current (First) age that signifies the existence of a true religion and a different way the universe used to work; but whatever ended the 7th age destroyed the Wheel or untethered it from our reality; so it had to be whisked back into existence by *something* during this age. Maybe the Horn of Valere had something to do with it?

I like this idea because it makes it more plausible that we live in the universe of the books.

--- So yeah, that's all, thank you so so so very very much very much much for reading through this here little rant of mine thank you yes mhmmmmmmmmmmmmm wordcount
